There are car mods, and then there’s the Flash Fire Jet Truck–a jet-powered Chevrolet built by Neal Darnell and his Team Chaos cohorts.
Flash Fire does 0-60 in just over one second, has a top speed of 375 miles per hour and a jaw-dropping 12,000 horses under its belt. This vehicle will definitely put some hair on your chest. During a regular performance, Flash Fire drops close to 60 gallons of fuel in a 10 minute stint.
Skip to the 2:50 mark in the video below to see all of Flash Fire’s testosterone in action!
The truck’s jet engine is made by Pratt & Whitney, which Darnell picked up on eBay. Originally it was used on a Navy T-2 Buckeye jet.
You can see the truck in action at the Oregon International Air Show or at many shows throughout North America.
